Friday, December 21st, Chiara Bassetti (University of Trento) and Mariacristina Mk Sciannamblo (Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute) presented Commonfare at the workshop “Post-start Up Cultures”, which took place in Naples on December 20th and 21st, 2018.

The presentation – co-authored with Marco Sachy (dyne.org and University of Trento) and Maurizio Teli – Emme Nomade (Aalborg University) and entitled “Towards a caring culture: the case of Santacoin digital complementary currency – revolved around the case of Crypto Rituals, one of the performances of the 2018 edition of the Santarcangelo Festival (international performative street arts festival in Italy), realized by Macao (an independent centre for art, culture and research based in Milan), in collaboration with the Commonfare project. Macao engaged the local community of “body artisans”, or well-being professionals, and brought caring practices in the public space during the two weekends of the festival, introducing a complementary digital currency – called Santacoin – In collaboration with Commonfare.
